Magic Johnson on watching the Dodgers in the NLCS: "I'm nervous. I'm crazy."

Dodgers partner Magic Johnson was part of the 1992 U.S. Olympic Gold-winning "Dream Team," appeared in the final round of the NBA playoffs nine times and won the championship with the Lakers five times, but any pressure he felt during those events apparently doesn't compare to how he's feeling these days, watching his Dodgers.

As a player, it's easy to temper the nerves by simply playing the game. But as a spectator, you're helpless, and there really isn't anywhere to channel the anxiety. Johnson isn't used to being on this side of the competitive lines, but he's learning. And he's frustrated.

"This is worse," he said before Game 1 of the National League Championship Series at Busch Stadium on Friday. "I'm nervous. I'm crazy. And I've got to sit in the stands and be more nervous and crazier."
