Check out the photos from this abandoned Negro Leagues-era baseball stadium

Hinchliffe Stadium, located in Paterson, N.J., is one of the few remaining Negro Leagues-era stadiums left in the country. From 1933-1945, the 10,000-seat park hosted the New York Black Yankees ('33-'37, '39-'45), the New York Black Cubans ('35) and various barnstorming games. Oscar Charleston, Josh Gibson, Paterson native Larry Doby and many other stars once played there.

Hinchliffe later housed boxing matches and high school sporting events before closing in 1997. Below via Anthony Fine at abandonedplaygrounds.com, are a few pictures of the National Historic Landmark, which may be renovated soon. Eerie, but cool:
