Magglio Ordonez, former MLB star, is now Magglio Ordonez, Venezuelan mayor

Magglio Ordonez won a batting title in 2007 playing alongside Sean Casey, who was nicknamed The Mayor -- and now Ordonez is a mayor himself.

The six-time All-Star, who played for the White Sox and Tigers from 1997-2011, is your new head of the government of Sotillo, a municipality in eastern Venezuela.

Ordonez isn't the only former baseball star to enter politics -- Raul Mondesi is currently serving as the mayor of San Cristobal, Dominican Republic. Are there any current MLB players you'd vote for as a mayor in the future?
