Dodgers vs. Team Australia recap: Puig, Aussie Vin Scully and two-foot hot dogs

The Dodgers took on Team Australia at Sydney Cricket Ground on Wednesday in a tune-up for their Opening Series against the D-backs this weekend. Naturally, things got a little weird Down Under. Let's dive in: 

Before the game, Brian Wilson found some common ground with a couple Australian Rules Football players:

While Aussie fans showed they had a good handle on Dodger history and broadcaster Vin Scully:

Another item that Americans (particularly Cardinals fans) and Aussies could bond over. Sharing not required:

Oh, and the game. Dodgers starter Zach Lee was impressive -- allowing one run and striking out six over four innings. L.A. relievers gave up just one other tally the rest of the game, thanks in part to Yasiel Puig:

Five Aussie pitchers, including Ryan Rowland-Smith, combined to allow just one hit over seven innings. And then the eighth inning arrived. And Yasiel Puig came to bat:

L.A. tacked on a total of four runs during the frame and went on to win 4-2.
