Derek Jeter's first farewell tour gift has a distinctly Texan flavor

The Yankees opened the last season of Jeter's career in Houston, and since it's New York's only visit for the year, the future Hall of Famer received his gift from the Astros on Wednesday.

As you can see, two of the items were icons of the Lone Star State -- a Stetson hat and Lucchese boots emblazoned with pinstripes, the Yankees logo, his soon-to-be-retired No. 2 and even the initials "DJ."

The Astros also gave Jeter, who hosts an annual celebrity golf tournament for charity, a four-day vacation at the Floridian Golf Resort in Palm City, Fla., a set of Titleist golf clubs and lessons with well-known golf coach Butch Harmon.

Presenting the gift were some former teammates of Jeter's who were Texans (Mike Stanton), also former Astros (Andy Pettitte) or both (Roger Clemens), as well as PGA Tour golfers Mark O'Meara, Johnson Wagner and Lucas Glover.
